Louisiana cops are a trip. I think many of them are living on the edge now after Katrina. And the threat of almost dying via gangsters during Katrina, or Katrina itself. Some of these Shreveport cops are probably transfers from N.O. But southern cops are always known for their brutality. Down there, the culture is different. Guns are like oxygen. And cops want to thunk first and ask questions later. Sad stuff. City cops are the same, but they become rotted from the inside over time. Southern cops culturally, just love to beat folks up.
