Gunshots erupted from a home on N. Third Street in Allentown and police returned fire as they responded to a domestic disturbance Tuesday afternoon.
Police Chief Roger MacLean said none of the officers was shot. Three officers, whom he declined to identify, were taken to a hospital to be checked out.
I believe some of these "domestic disputes" and other calls are sometimes traps to lure officers to homes where nuts can take a shot at them. Gang members in LA used to do it all the time. Apparently, that trend has caught on outside of California.
