The hardest crime of all to pin on a cop in truth, is domestic violence. The woman is more afraid to testify or tell anyone because she might not wanna give up a certain lifestyle, or lose her husband, make her kids hate her by breaking up the family, etc. But the husband being a cop adds a ton more pressure. Because now she has pissed off a brotherhood of sorts. Who will all be after her in some way, shape or form. For more reference on this, you should check out a movie called "100 Feet" starring Famke Janssen and Bobby Cannavale. Good scary movie. But also documents how difficult a situation it is when a woman who's being abused by a cop husband, decides to take matters into her own hands.
