That is just terrible, honestly. I think most cops are good but sometimes they get too prideful and decide to use their strengths against weaker people.

No, I strongly disagree with that. I think most cops are people that felt powerless in their lives prior to becoming cops and they take way too much pleasure in flashing that badge. Should there be some respect for the badge? Yes, because they also have a gun, but when they come across the people that can sense their innate weakness and still laugh or get amused by them, they become enraged and abusive.

They need to do better in selecting the people that are allowed to become police officers. The mental screening needs to be more in depth.

Some cops have this superiority complex. They know they are above the law and they use it. He is straight spraying this person in the face. They are not aggressive or anything. That is an a**hole! Now if that person jumped up and cracked his skull, they would wrong for that.

Wasn't this at Berkeley or some California college campus? If memory serves me these were actually college campus security, not cops. I would have to look it up.

Id never heard of this article but are they handcuffed? becasue if not they should have all ganged up on him at once and beat his butt!! Give a good crack to the head too! I mean a couple cops can only do so much against a crowd.

Most cops are individuals who wish to make a difference and who are no more abnormal in their behavior then the average individual. They are also mentally screened and as is obvious by the media attention given these incidents mostly the screening works. The people who laugh at them are generally the ones who feel innately small, because otherwise their would be no need to make such a show. I have more respect for the guy who sits quietly not giving any reason for retaliation then I do the guy trying for a camera op. If I may - why are you so totally against cops? You seem to have a personal vendetta.

Exactly and that is why anyone who could be a trigger for public riot has to be put down immediately in the most efficient way possible. Thus that man was probably running his mouth or spitting or generally acting like an ass and so he received a face full of spray. It wasn't the nicest thing to do, but it solves a problem that could be potentially much worse. Better bruning eyes then a cracked skull and a criminal record.

Such madness should be unacceptable. Police officers should defend the civilians and not go against them! This is so sad.

The scene is amusing to me. Was it stage-managed and what is that that they were using to spray this people? The people are helpless as the this officer does what he knows best: making them know who was in charge of the situation!

This is sickening. I think the officer was wrong for doing this to those students. They were already handcuffed and on the ground. Why pepper spray them?
