Another knife-wielding man shot in New York by policemen

A knife-wielding man was shot and wounded by police in Queens Friday afternoon, police said.


Officers were responding to a call of an emotionally disturbed man at 165-43 144th Terrace in Springfield Gardens.

When they arrived at the home, they shot and wounded a man with a knife.

Authorities said the victim, who has not been identified, is likely to survive.

What is it coming to when cops (plural) cannot take down singular people with knives without shooting and wounding them? Don't they have their clubs and tasers? Still? Just zap the guy and he drops the blade. Simple!
