Off duty cop stabbed during robbery attempt

An off-duty New York police officer was stabbed and seriously wounded during an apparent burglary at his home in Queens, officials said.

A law enforcement official said the officer was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center shortly after the incident at his home in Jamaica Wednesday afternoon and was considered in critical condition.

The official said police are searching for two suspects.


Lots of stabbings as of late in Queens. I guess the city's program to keep illegal guns off the streets and out of the hands of criminals is working?
