    Citizens arrest?

Is it possible for one person to arrest someone else (I think it is, and it's called a citizens's arrest). I'm really not sure if it's even possible, and what does it entail, if someone actually goes through with this? Basically, how would it work?

I think a citizens arrest is basically a citizen taking someone who is a criminal or committed a crime. And handing them over to or holding them for authorities. It's legal, but you can't arrest them for real. It's basically an assist by a citizen to the real cops. Kind of like holding a groper on the subway until transit cops arrive to arrest them.
