No surprise here at all. When you become too vocal or too high up the food chain of police critics or watchdogs. They start digging into your background. They'll use old drug arrests, or DWI's, DUI's, anything they can to discredit you as a jerk, crazy person, drunk, or whatever. Thus, people will trust the cops over you and your complaints and case against police brutality or misconduct will fall on deaf ears.
