    Cops and false evidence?

I had an ex who paid cops to present false evidence against me that I beat him. ( im 5 feet tall 89 lbs and hes 6"4 270 lbs so thats unbelieveable enough) He hired a makeup artist to put stage makeup on his face to look like bruises and had the cops take pics of it. Might I add that the makeup artsit was friends with the cops so they knew it was fake. Im being charged in court for this. How do I handle it and how to I prove ive never hit him?
    Thanks!

I would contact a lawyer and ask them what to do in this situation.

LMFAO I have a great liar lol. I had just met with him the other day and he's taken care of it thankfully. He had an interview with the cop who was involved and got him to tell him the whole story. Either he's a great lawyer or a dumb cop...im still not sure :P But lets just say my ex is dropping the charges.

What happens to the op? Does he go through suspension? Does he lose his job? After all, he helped someone falsify evidence!

He and your ex should be under the jail!

Seems like this topic could take a spin on how lawyers are not really THAT much better than cops... Just my opinion though, haha. They are over paid and under worked.

That may be true in some cases however what would you do without one in court if your life were on the line? How much would you pay then?

Your case is very interesting. The only annoying part is that the cops would take you to court when they are pretty sure that the charges against you are staged! All in all I'm happy that the ex is dropping the charges, though their is another avenue where could sue the ex for wrongful accusation if you have solid evidence (If you can have the artist confess).

Currently, I would have to be one of those individuals who gets appointed a lawyer. I do not see myself being able to afford one regardless of how high or low they charge, haha.

It depends on how you make the case. If you decide on a civil case then you should be able to get a lawyer who will only charge if you win a monetary award, otherwise you're good to go.
