OK, this may not be the popular thing to say, especially on this forum, but I do believe police officers should make more money. This is not applicable for the rogue cops out there, I'm referring to those officers that put their life on the line and do a good, fair job. It's a dangerous job, guess someone has to do it.

I've told my kids, you can be whatever you want to be, I won't try to force you to become this, that, or the other. As long as you make an honest days pay, I really don't care what you do. However, I would draw the line at being a police officer or joining the military. Yes, I support the American Troops, hope they all make it back safely, but as the 31st President of the U.S., Herbert Hoover, stated, "Older men declare war. But it is the youth that must fight and die."

I do think that they have a dangerous job. They should earn more. However they should be more selective with hiring. These rogue cops that abuse their power is unacceptable.
